Jessica is the third daughter born to a vagrant military family. She has lived and traveled in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America, but calls Atlanta, Georgia home. Her work draws on cultural experience as well as personal faith, and portrays biblical symbols both abstractly and figuratively.
She works primarily with water-based paint or drawing media, but often incorporates mixed media, including twine, postage stamps, or photocopies of letters and journals into her work. Her love of languages is seen in the use of prose in English, Hebrew and Spanish in a number of pieces. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Painting and an AB in Studio Art in 2004.
